Several months ago I loaded my Ricoh 500G camera with a roll of Cinestill 800T film. I’d long wanted to try this emulsion and haven’t bee disappointed with the results, even if it took me a while to shoot all 36 frames!
My first photos were taken while I was working in Lyme Regis last October. Even though this is a film intended for tungsten light I’d seen good results from it in daylight so I decided to give this a try. It gives the photos an interesting look and I’ll definitely be trying this again.
My later images were taken in Leake Street, the tunnel which runs beneath Waterloo Station. It’s a well known haunt for street artists and I figured it would be the perfect location for Cinestill film. What I hadn’t banked on was an enormous gathering of people dressed up as Father Christmas (these were taken in December), waiting to go out on a charity bicycle ride! I managed to work around them though, and still came away with several shots which worked perfectly with this film stock.
