There was a time when I seemed to take a walk around Elsenham every day, as it was the only place I could go during the various lockdowns. It’s been a while since I did my old circuit past the church, but the sun was shining so I decided to take a walk, using the Rolleiflex to find a different perspective to my photos.
It was so lovely to finally have some light to play with again – it’s been one of those relentlessly grey winters so far.
With one more frame left on my film I took the Rollei out again on Sunday, alongside my two pinhole cameras. Its waist level viewfinder suggested a low angle take on the lone tree in the fog, which blurred the foreground exactly as I’d hoped.
