Back in September I gave a recital at St John’s Church, Duxford, to help raise funds for the church’s restoration work. It’s one of my favourite churches and because it’s so close by I was able to pop in a couple of days beforehand to do some practice and get used to the acoustic. Knowing how lovely the light can be I took my pinhole camera along too and took a few slow images while I was playing.
While I took a short break I set up a close up of one of my recorders with some of the music I was preparing…
Exploring the possibilities of my rise pinhole camera allowed me to capture much more of the roof while also keeping the vertical lines straight.
Finally I tried one frame where I opened all three pinholes at once, creating a triple decker church!
