I can’t believe how quickly the time has gone, but the first month of my Prime Numbers Project is up already! Please do have a look at my post from the 30th October if you want to know all the background, but, put simply, I’ve been spending at least one day each week shooting solely with my 25mm prime lens.
I’ve long found that I shoot better with a prime lens - there’s something about having a creative restriction which inspires me. I thought I’d do a round up post at the end of each month to pull the photos I’ve taken together into one place, so the collection below is my November gallery. Please click on any of the thumbnails to view them larger.
Shooting at 25mm (the equivalent of 50mm in full frame terms) has been relatively straightforward. It gives a field of view that’s not far from what we naturally see with our eyes. My choice of focal length for December is 42.5mm - in full frame terms, the 85mm lens beloved of portrait photographers. That’s not a natural genre for me, but no doubt I’ll find plenty of things to aim my camera at and next month’s gallery will probably look rather different to this one!
